To the Rhine via Brussels

Left Ghent on the morning of the 3rd, had lunch in Brussels, then drove all the way to Trechtingshausen, a small town on the Rhine River near Wiesbaden. We are staying in a small AirBnB operated by Paul & Ursula, a retired couple who speak only German. We walked through the old town of little narrow streets, then to the park on the banks of the Rhine, then to the only local restaurant in this little village. on 10/4 we went Wiesbaden to see ML’s high school, get supplies in town, and find some wifi (something we’ve learned is very hard to live without). Unfortunately, post-9/11 security precluded seeing her old high school and house on the base.

    • Allow me to rectify that as I plan to upgrade all blog posts. Yet I wonder, are you referring to the mighty steed Bruce (who indulged me only reluctantly) or the mayor of London? If I’d a chance to ride on Mr. Johnson, that certainly would have been posted. If Boris is a Bentley, I was in not on, and please stay tuned…
