2017 Wrap-Up

Other than my last two sports posts, I haven’t shared anything since summertime. So here’s my year-end wrap-up with some autumn pix, a bit of winter, but none of it in any particular order. This first set features the HMB Pumpkin Festival parade (Darcy w/Pescadero kids), other school music events, and Thomas’ birthday party (with his parents Graham & Lynne)…

The second set are some random events: Koffi & Theresa Kapachavi’s visit, the house where Catharine Peery had her birthday party, Jim & Johanna Kelly’s pumpkin carving party, Shawn & Laura Sears’ winter solstice gathering, a couple different cliff hikes, and the kids at home. Good times…

Purissima Cemetery (a vestige of the former town) has been re-opened for natural burials and it’s a beautiful spot. There are a couple artfully old buildings, gourds in a wooden box, and Mom’s display for Charlie’s birthday…

Of course there were Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. Here are some dinners Dominican Oaks for the former, the Chaminade the latter. And Christmas morning at home…

There were a couple big events at school: Socorro’s retirement celebration and an end of the year challenge event rally – both in the gym…

My one sub day last semester was the La Honda Creek Open Space grand opening event featuring speeches, a ribbon cutting ceremony, and a docent-led hike. Later, the family explored the same trail (close ups in Harrington Creek)…

This last set is mostly in a lovely antique store in Folsom where the basketball team stayed for the tournament (and an old house)…

Finally, here’s a pano of rainbow discovered whilst watering the garden. (Here’s to wishing for a Happy New Year in 2018. Cheers!)…
