The Autumnal Equinox is today, and summer is over, finally, alas. So here are a few pix since my last post. First up, a mountain bike trail in Purissima Redwoods that I rode while Charlie had Cross Country practice; the Mid-Pen Board of Directors at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new parking lot above La Honda Elementary which will mark the opening (this fall) of the La Honda Creek Open Space; and a pano of Bob Meehan’s garage – a beautiful conglomeration of guy stuff…
Here are some pix of the CLHG Pond, AKA Reflection Lake, which was recently cleaned up by Denis & Liz, including a bench with a meaning carving…
Toward the end of summer Daddy Bob came to visit, and of course we enjoyed the Pescadero Art & Fun Festival, including the thrift shop fashion show (with Charlie & Veronica in their regalia). There’s a pic of a beautiful Rebecca Holland “Sea Cave” painting…
This set of pix combines kayaking at San Gregorio with Mary Lynn & Cheryl O’Connor and the King’s Mountain Art Fair (specifically the mosaic lady there)…
We also attended”Pie in the Face of Adversity,” Pie Ranch’s Feast in the Field…
I happened upon a car show at the Newark Days Festival – which Charlie attended as a member of the HMB High Marching Band – for their big parade (cousin Steve, these are for you)…
While I was there, I happened upon Ardenwood Farm, the historical home of the Patterson family, now a tourist destination (but not a big one). And some birds from the festival…
Finally, here’re some pix of Charlie and the HMB Marching Band – at the parade, and an HMB High Football Game…
‘Course I suppose summer really ended when school started, but then I got super busy. The equinox inspired me to put these pix together. Perhaps I should focus more on writing and less on photography…?
Cheers,
rv
